INVESTIGATING THE ANCIENT PAST
This unit investigates the Ancient history
from the time of the earliest human communities to the end of the Ancient
period. It was a period defined by the development of cultural practices and
societies. Students study a range of depth studies throughout the year about
major civilisations and this unit provides the framework and introduction to the
ideas and skills explored.
This learning forms the foundation for the continuing study and investigation into history. It explores the primary concepts of time, evidence and how to investigate the past in a manner that allows the students to not only learn about the past but develop the skills to question, analyse and interpret historical information and apply it to real life situations.

sources to explore the Egyptian culture.
