WELCOME TO THE HUMANITIES FACULTY
THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION: WATCH THIS SPACE FOR MORE DETAILS
The Humanities faculty delivers courses in all humanities subjects in years 7-12. This site aims to provide some general information about the subjects in the 7-10 years (junior years) of schooling. Information about the senior courses can be found in the companion site, which can be accessed by selecting the "senior courses" button below.
This information covers subjects in both the Social Science and History areas. The mandatory (compulsory) subjects of History and Geography, as well as the range of electives currently offered are outlined for your information. Although detail is provided on all subjects offered, there is no guarantee that any one of the electives will be available for study in any given year, as this is dependent on the numbers of students selecting that course. On the other hand, mandatory subjects are timetabled, and all students are expected to complete the work to the minimum standards to enable them to progress from one year to the next.
Links to the relevant syllabus for the given subject are also provided, to enable you to take a closer look at the course content and other BOSTES requirements for study of the courses outlined in this site.
